Getting your good idea funded is our best interest!
The Future: Micro-Funding
The Open Source Science Project is a new model for transparent research funding.
Any individual may submit a research proposal and any other individuals (or institutions) may decide to fully or partially fund the research if they so choose.
There are no restrictions on who may submit a research proposal and no restrictions on who may fund a proposal. The platform has the ability to aggregate small micro-grants from large numbers of research supporters into a full micro-financed macro-grant.
The Philosophy of Good Grant Writing
While great ideas are free, some are simply more expensive to implement than others. This is where grants from the right organization can be key to turning your idea into reality. But competition for research funding is fierce - as it should be - and only the best, or most promising, ideas can afford to be funded. Sometimes, however, the "best ideas" are not funded - merely the "best communicated". It is our hope that the included resources will help you, in whatever field you toil, to best communicate your ideas to those willing and able to partner with you in order to turn your dream into our reality.
Why Your Grant Request Should Be Good
Some ideas can put us in orbit - and some ideas can help to keep us there. Here at RDS Grants, we prefer the latter - and we think you should too.
We encourage you to put a great deal of thought into whether your idea is merely a "great deal" or whether your idea is one that will make great things happen.
Both types of ideas can attract funding - but only the latter type has the possibility to make all of our lives more fun.
If your work isn't what you love, then something isn't right.
Please note: RDS does not directly make grants or accept proposals - we merely point the right people in the right direction!
